Here are two links where GPS Lat/Lon irregularities should be reported:
Below you will find two examples of how to search Google Maps. The first (Example 1) is the result when typing in the actual address of our office. Note that Google's green arrow is several hundred feet east of the actual driveway. When one type is the actual Latitude and Longitude (as in Example 2) the map shows the coordinates spot on.

Congratulations to all who attempted to determine the exact location of Latitude / Longitude given in the GPS contest. Those who entered had to convert the numbers given to a format that Google would accept, then use Google maps set on hybrid to zoom in and see where the coordinates were. The skill to do this will be very useful in determining the exact location down to a driveway entrance to let NavTeq and TeleAtlas know exactly where the entrance to YOUR property is. Looking at the discussion of GPS use on PAII's forum it is important to report map errors now so that they will not occur on newer GPS devices. Some folks reported guests going down single lane dirt roads at night! Please correct these errors, both database companies have additional input for roads to avoid, dead end roads, and other types. The precise location for those of you who wish to know was the right turn lane out of the main entrance of the University of Hartford. (If one zooms in far enough one can see the driving lanes :-) ) I was literally sitting in my car with the GPS in my left hand and had it "mark" the location.
